Ingredients (2–4 servings)
- 2–4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, ~1 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika (smoked if you have it)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: pinch of chili flakes or cayenne (for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels (helps them crisp).
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional chili flakes.
- Rub pork chops with olive oil, then coat evenly with the spice mixture.
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
- Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Thinner chops: ~9–10 minutes
- Thicker chops: up to 13–14 minutes
- Check doneness: internal temperature should reach 63°C (145°F).
- Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Tips for Best Results
- The brown sugar will caramelize—don’t worry if edges look dark, that’s flavor.
- Use bone-in chops for more juiciness.
- If you want extra glaze, brush a little melted butter + brown sugar mix in the last 2 minutes.
- Avoid overcooking—they dry out quickly.
