Here’s a simple way to get crispy, golden cauliflower in the air fryer—no deep frying needed.
🥦 Air-Fried Crispy Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tbsp oil (olive or avocado)
- ½ cup flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
- ½ cup milk (or water)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili powder (optional)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Optional: ¼ cup breadcrumbs or panko (for extra crunch)
Instructions
1. Preheat
Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
2. Make the batter
Whisk flour, milk, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper into a smooth batter (like pancake consistency).
3. Coat the cauliflower
Dip each floret into the batter, letting excess drip off. For extra crunch, roll in breadcrumbs/panko after battering.
4. Air fry
Place florets in a single layer in the basket (don’t overcrowd). Lightly spray or drizzle with oil.
Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and golden.
5. Optional sauce toss
Toss in buffalo sauce, BBQ, or a garlic-soy glaze after cooking.
